#DoItYourself: Rosemary Spiked Lemonade

With a pucker from rosemary, and some fresh sour lemon juice, this refreshing combination is the perfect DIY to cool down on summer days when the temperatures heat up. Time to serve up some drinks!


  • 6-7 Lemons, freshly squeezed (Save some wedges for garnish)
  • 6 Sprigs of Rosemary
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Splash of preferred liquor
  • 6 Cups cold sparkling water
  • Ice, Ice baby!

Step 1.

Combine 1 ½ cups of sparkling water and 1 cup of sugar in a small pot. Cook over medium heat and stir often until the sugar dissolves. Turn off heat, remove, and toss in a sprig of Rosemary. Let sit until the water has cooled, then discard the rosemary sprig.

Step 2.

Extract the juice from 5 lemons – aim to juice 1 cup’s worth. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sweetened sparkling water, and the remaining 4 ½ cups of cold sparkling water.

Step 3.

If you’re planning on spiking your lemonade, now is the time! Add a splash of your favourite liquor and stir. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon wedges and a sprig of rosemary. Add some personality to your presentation with glass Mason Jars!
